My name is Alex Krebs and I am a photographer in the Mancos, CO area. I provide the Durango Telegraph with photos and also do limited portrait, pet, marketing, and adventure photography. Every once in a while I might shoot a wedding as well. I am permitted to photograph on National Forest Lands in the Dolores Ranger District.
Me and my wife have lived in the Durango/Mancos area for over a decade. We enjoy working with our bird dogs, hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, and mountainbiking. We also operate a market garden that produces local honey and vegetables that we sell in area farmer’s markets. I volunteer teaching hunter education and also dedicate some of my time to the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Southwest Chapter Leadership Team. I have a Master’s in GIS and work during the weekday’s as a Data Visualization professional and GIS Risk Assessment Analyst for natural hazard exposure in the Hazard Mitigation field.
See the bookings page for more information on what I am currently available for. I also offer prints of my freelance photography. In addition to taking photos, I create custom mounting and framing. My framing style is natural wood with minimal decoration and clear finishes. I start my frames from rough cut lumber of various tree species and finish them with secured glue only joints.
